🐾 Meet Jewel 💎

Some dogs bring calm. Some dogs bring comfort.
Jewel brings sunshine. ☀️
She is one of those dogs who seems to smile with her whole face. Whether she’s wagging her tail at the team in the morning, leaning in for cuddles, or bouncing around with her goofy little grin, Jewel has a way of making people happy just by being near her. Honestly, we don’t think this girl has ever taken a bad photo in her life.

💛 Her Personality

Jewel is affectionate, playful, funny and deeply people-oriented. She absolutely loves being around humans and thrives on connection and affection. Once she knows you, expect face kisses, cuddles, happy wiggles and a dog who genuinely wants to be part of everything you’re doing.
She has such a joyful energy about her and brings laughter everywhere she goes. There’s something wonderfully uplifting about her personality — she is the kind of dog who makes a house feel warmer and happier just by existing in it.
At the same time, underneath all that sunshine, Jewel does have a slightly softer side too. She arrived with us from Romania as a very shy and uncertain girl, and although she has blossomed beautifully and come incredibly far, she can still occasionally have a little underlying anxiety in unfamiliar situations.
That said, her progress has been absolutely wonderful. She is growing in confidence all the time, she’s incredibly clever, and she responds so well to kindness, routine and reassurance.

🧠 A Clever Girl

Jewel is a bright dog who really enjoys engaging with people. She’s observant, switched on, and eager to connect. She has adapted brilliantly to new experiences and continues to surprise us with how far she has come.
She’s not a fragile dog at all — she simply needs people who understand that confidence is something you continue building together.

🐕 With Other Dogs

Jewel is great with many dogs and has built lovely friendships during her time with us.
She has, however, shown some resource guarding behaviour in a previous home environment. Because of this, and because we always want to set dogs up for long-term success, we feel Jewel would be happiest as the only pet in the home where she can fully relax and enjoy all the love and attention to herself.
Importantly, she has improved hugely in our care and continues to socialise very positively with dogs at the
kennels.

🌿 Her Ideal Home

Jewel is looking for a loving home where she can continue enjoying life, building confidence, and being someone’s very best friend.

Her ideal home would be:
• 🏡 Loving and stable
• 💛 Affectionate and engaging
• 🧠 Happy to continue supporting her confidence
• 🚶‍♀️ Enjoy walks, adventures and including their dog in daily life
• 🐕 As the only pet in the home

👤 The Right Owner

Jewel will thrive with someone kind, patient and loving who wants a genuine bond with their dog. Someone who understands that rescue dogs sometimes carry a little history with them — but also understands how incredibly rewarding it is watching them flourish.
She doesn’t need perfection. She just needs someone who will love her for who she is.

🐾 A Few Details

• 🐕 Medium-sized
• 💛 Extremely affectionate
• ☀️ Always smiling
• 🧠 Very clever and responsive
• 🚶‍♀️ Enjoys walks and adventures
• 🐕 Best as the only pet
• 🐾 Requires multiple visits before adoption

💫 Why Jewel?

Because life genuinely feels brighter with her in it.
Jewel is joyful, loving, funny and full of heart. She has already overcome so much and yet still greets the world with happiness, optimism and that beautiful smile of hers.
Whoever adopts Jewel is not just getting a dog — they’re getting a little beam of sunshine who will love them with her whole heart.

If you think you could offer Jewel the loving forever home she deserves, we would absolutely love to hear from you 💛🐾
