Our Dogs...

Important Notes

You may not see the right dog for you on the selection below, but by all means do send us an application, as we always have other dogs coming in, and very often, not all our dogs feature on the website.

Only families have who been homechecked AND who have an appointment with the kennel team within the following 2 weeks to view a dog will have priority viewing on their first choice.

My name is:

Panda is a sweet boy, a lovely oldie who has had a rough life. We know that he was a stray, living on an industrial estate for many years, where people fed him. He was only brought into the public pound of Brasov when our partners, who check in on the strays, found that he had a maggot infestation on his back. He needed emergency care and was brought back to health.
He is an older boy with a lot of life experience, who now would love a family of his own, and a little place on someone's sofa. He loves human interactions, but not necessarily cares for cuddles for a long time. This may however change in a home. He enjoys interesting activities a lot, and we think that he is actually one of our dogs who gets bored at kennels and really could do with finding a home soon. He enjoys puzzle feeders and interesting walks in nature. He is not looking to go on any treks, he could not do them as he does have arthritis, but sniffing flowers, walking by streams, listening to the birds, taking in the beauty and smells in nature is his thing. He is on metacam for life (an anti-inflammatory medication for his arthritis).
He gets on fine with other dogs but we feel that a calmer dog would be nicer for him. We would not place him with a boisterous younger dog. As he is a senior we would also not place him with children, this is our policy as golden oldies prefer quieter households in general.
He is attempting to play, when you throw a ball he does run after it but it generally ends there, as he is unsure of what to do next! But again this may click in time.
The type of life, which would suit him would be a quieter home with access to lovely parks or some countryside to go on interesting walks. He would be happy sharing with another dog or two but would equally be happy on his own. We don't anticipate that he would be too bothered about cats, he is a lovely gentle soul. He would love a garden to lie in and sun himself, and someone to let him know he is safe and loved. He doesn't want for much but a peaceful and fulfilled doggie life. If Panda is the one for you, be sure to fill in an enquiry form online.
