Our Dogs...

IMPORTANT NOTES: Only families have who been homechecked AND who have an appointment with the kennel team within the following 2 weeks to view a dog will have priority viewing on their first choice.

Also, whilst some dogs may not be showing as 'Reserved' on the website, they may already have interest. If the dog you are interested in ends up not being the one for you, don't be disheartened, we have many wonderful dogs coming into the rescue regularly and the right friend will be out there for you, as this has proved to be the case time and time again with families who have adopted from us.

My name is:

Major Tom

LOCATION: Waltham Abbey, Essex
Major Tom is a beautiful dog, we think he may be a Transylvanian hound cross, and a lot smaller than what people anticipate him to be from the photos. He is roughly the size of a small labrador. Major Tom spent the last two years at our partners' shelter in Romania but has enjoyed his new life with us at the kennels in the UK. We know that he will absolutely relish being part of a family once settled. Major Tom is a wonderful character who came to us fairly shy, but soon gained confidence and he now loves going out on walks and enjoying the best that life has to offer. Major Tom is a quick learner and even though he probably never lived in a home we suspect he will soon be comfortable with the idea of being part of a family. Major Tom is a sensitive character and can be a little shy at first, but is the most loving dog once he knows you. The volunteers just love taking him out. He walks very politely on the lead and enjoys his time out. He has bags of character, combined with an almost aristocratic look and he moves very elegantly too.
We would not place Major Tom with children because he is quite a sensitive character and we feel he would enjoy the company if adults better.
Major Tom is the right dog for someone wanting to develop a very special bond with a dog who is a diamond in the making. He is a dog with such presence and character, there won't be two like him in the world. We would also ask that families interested in adopting Major Tom, visit a couple of times for him to get familiar with his new people before going to a home.
If you wish to express an interest please fill in an application form online and the adoption team will be in touch.
