Our Dogs...

Important Notes

You may not see the right dog for you on the selection below, but by all means do send us an application, as we always have other dogs coming in, and very often, not all our dogs feature on the website.

Only families have who been homechecked AND who have an appointment with the kennel team within the following 2 weeks to view a dog will have priority viewing on their first choice.

My name is:

LOCATION: Waltham Abbey
Note: Our puppies and youngsters cannot be rehomed in flats or apartments unless it is on the ground floor with direct access to it's own secure garden.
Hipo, or Baby Shepherd as we like to call him, is a wonderful young dog who sadly lost one of his legs in a traffic accident in his native Romania. He is however not hindered whatsoever by the fact that he only has 3 legs. He can play and run the same as any other dog.
Hipo has spent a lot of time in foster during his recovery time following his amputation so he has learnt the basics and is house trained.
He is an incredibly clever dog, inquisitive and into everything. He will need a family who want to do activities with him and keep his brain engaged. He does not deal well with boredom so an active home, who is very much focussed on the life of their dogs is what Hipo needs. He will not be the size of a shepherd, even fully grown, he will remain a medium size, but he has all the breed traits. A home with solid shepherd experience, willing to work with him is an essential requirement and training will have to be kept up from the start to help him continue to grow into a well adjusted adult. He is a sensitive little guy too, and will need a family able to read him well.
He has a fantastic ability with other dogs, he does get on with all of them and we feel he might do particularly well with a steady older female for example.
He has great lead manners and has started on his basic training but he is a baby and needs a committed family.
Families should not underestimate the work involved in helping a puppy develop into a well-adjusted adult. Puppies and youngsters need families who are prepared to invest in their development through continued training and to meet all their physical and emotional needs.
If you feel you can offer Hipo the home he needs, please get in touch via our online enquiry form.
