Our Dogs...

My name is:

Grayson is a stunning dog who was rescued from a particularly terrible dog pound in Bucharest. He came to us as a very traumatised and scared dog and is making great progress. This is a dog who will likely always be somewhat fearful, but he bonds incredibly well with the people who care for him. He has also done very well with his latest vet appointment, which was to remove a number of teeth that were in a poor state. He took it all in his stride and we were all very proud :)
Grayson needs to be adopted by a very patient and understanding family who will not put him under any pressure to be something he cannot be. Grayson is the kind of dog who will appeal to those who really want to make a difference for a dog who needs time, someone focused on what they can do for a dog in need. The rewards will be really wonderful as we know he is a boy who will give everything back tenfold with time. With regards to other dogs he gets on fine with polite dogs and will let them spend time in his company. Saying that, little Florence who was a terrible flirt used to jump in his bed in the morning when the kennel doors were open and he quite liked it. It will be about introducing the dogs, if a family have existing ones, and seeing how the chemistry goes. We would not place him in a home with children, because of his fearful nature, he needs a quiet home with not too much traffic..
We feel that living in a home is now the next step for Grayson, and we hope that the right home will soon come forward, who will be willing to work with him so that he can see how wonderful life can be in a loving home.
Families looking to adopt Grayson will need to commit to several visits at the kennels, to help him bond, but we know that the joy of seeing him progress in a home environment and gradually getting over his fears, and blossoming will be a very special experience and we sincerely hope that someone will want to give him the chance to leave kennel life behind.
