Our Dogs...

IMPORTANT NOTES: Only families have who been homechecked AND who have an appointment with the kennel team within the following 2 weeks to view a dog will have priority viewing on their first choice.

Also, whilst some dogs may not be showing as 'Reserved' on the website, they may already have interest. If the dog you are interested in ends up not being the one for you, don't be disheartened, we have many wonderful dogs coming into the rescue regularly and the right friend will be out there for you, as this has proved to be the case time and time again with families who have adopted from us.

Hello

My name is:

Cora

Location: Waltham Abbey, Essex
Cora is a wonderful girl who was rescued in 2012 from an illegal kill shelter in the Carpathian mountains in Transylvania. She was found in a terrible state alongside 46 other survivors who had been left to die in a hangar. She has been waiting a long time for a chance to be adopted and we were delighted to finally welcome her to the UK. She is very good with people, and enjoys her time out walking with other dogs. She can be a little over the top with other dogs at times so if you already have a dog, introductions at the kennels before any adoption is important. She is super intelligent and has improved on all fronts during her time with us since her arrival.
Cora shows a real enthusiasm for life, she is always up for walks and activities, so an active family would be great. She would also benefit from ongoing training, we think it would be good for her and to keep her mind engaged. Cora is a dog who keeps herself entertained though, she is toy mad and often the team will walk past her kennel and observe her throwing her toys about. She doesn't chew them, she's very gentle with them but likes to chuck them in the air and play catch by herself. Cora is a dog who does not necessarily engage with her people a huge deal but she does love a belly rub and fuss. We suspect that she was never shown much one to one affection in her life and she has developed a very content personality who is happy with her own company but we have also noticed that in the time she has been with us she has started being more interested in people, so we think that within a home and given time she will develop and place more focus on the people.
Cora is too interested in small animals and birds so we would not place her with small furries or cats. We are also not looking to place her with small children as she is very energetic. She hasn't got a bad bone in her body, she's an angel with all people she meets, we are simply cautious due to her energy levels. She is a beautiful dog who will certainly bring much positivity to any home she goes to. She is looking for a committed and solid home to take her on and finally give her the life she deserves. She's a huge favourite among everyone at kennels, everyone who meets her cannot help but fall in love with her wonderful smile and personality.
